In this camp. students learned about local conservation efforts and the importance of environmental stewardship for preserving San Diego’s unique ecosystems. By pairing outdoor experiences with place-specific natural education, students gained the tools to become conservation proponents in their local communities. By providing exposure to BIPOC professionals in the nature field, kids were able to see themselves represented in these careers.

Explorers experienced fun and engaging field trips led by educators, to community farms, outdoor education centers, and nature retreats. They learned about nature through art, play games, and other exciting activities.
