Blanca (she/hers) is a first-generation graduate from UC San Diego who obtained a Bachelor’s in Sociology with an emphasis on Climate Change Studies. She is a climate activist in San Diego for many years, with a focus on addressing how BIPOC communities are disproportionately impacted by environmental racism through redlining, food deserts, lack of green spaces in neighborhoods, and inaccessibility of outdoor recreational spaces. She continues to volunteer in climate justice organizations, and through her work at BIPOC Support Foundation, is finding solutions to the education disparities faced by historically underserved communities.
